We are delighted to announce RCET has been invited to present showings of This is My Life at this year’s Fringe as part of a cutting-edge performance programme which explore aspects of army life.
Army@The Fringe has been organised by 51st Infantry Brigade and Army Headquarters Scotland, in association Summerhall, Edinburgh’s most daring and respected year-round multi-arts venue, to spark conversations about what the Army is and what it stands for in 21st Century society.
Army@TheFringe will comprise seven drama, dance and music shows including This is My Life. Commissioned by RCET for tours in Scottish schools, This is My Life is a witty, engaging and entertaining theatre show which follows the story of a young boy called Kevin, whose father is deployed with the Royal Marines. As the story unfolds, Kevin learn how to adjust to a new school and make new friends. It tackles sensitive issues that strikes a cord with young and old alike, with its heart-warming motto to ‘always do your best’!
