Edinburgh’s Scot Pro Swim School Supports Armed Forces Children

Scot Pro Swim School in Edinburgh are partnering with RCET: Scotland’s Armed Forces Children’s Charity next year to offer free swimming lessons to Armed Forces young people in the local area.

The Swim School will be offering free swimming lessons in partnership with MacDonald Holyrood Hotel Spa & Health Club who are providing free the use of their pool. The Swim School is offering a block of up to 12 weeks of swimming tuition free to Armed Forces children of any ability.

The offer will be run in conjunction with RCET’s already established Children & Family Support Service which supports veteran families, who might not be able to afford it otherwise, to fund after-school activities for their children.

The offer will be open to families to register their interest from October onwards with classes starting in January of 2020.

Owner, and Swim Coach Gabor Tatai said “Scot Pro Swim School are delighted to be supporting RCET: Scotland’s Armed Forces Children’s Charity to help support children who may not otherwise be able to access swimming as a hobby. We are passionate about giving back to the veteran community in Scotland and this partnership seemed a great way to be able to do that.”

Karen Stock, Children & Family Support Co-ordinator at the Charity said “We are delighted to be partnering with Scot Pro Swim School to offer this additional benefits to the families that we support ensuring that their children get the same opportunity to thrive, and reach their full potential as their civilian peers.”
