Former paratrooper, Lee Evans has signed up for the 2.6 Challenge in aid of RCET.
The 2.6 Challenge is a nationwide campaign to Save the UK’s Charities in the face of thousands of cancelled or postponed sporting and challenge fundraising events this year due to the coronavirus. Each participant is encouraged to set themselves a challenge based around the number 26 or 2.6.
Lee has chosen to double the number 26 and run 52 miles over the span of 5 days from 27th April to 1st May.
He explains; “as I can’t do the Baker Hughes 10k in Aberdeen this year due to the virus, I want to raise money to help with the 2.6 (instead).”
We are delighted that Lee has chosen to join #TeamRCET and become a #HomeHero for us. Every penny raised from his fantastic efforts will go towards our Coronavirus Crisis Fund which has been set up to help Armed Forces and Veteran Families negatively affected by the current pandemic. You can donate to his JustGiving page here.
