The Education Programme

The Royal Caledonian Education Trust has developed a very successful Education Programme which provides charitable funds and resources to selected schools and local authorities in Scotland to improve support for Armed Services Children and their families particularly prior to, during and post deployment. This initiative started as a project in 2005 and it has grown considerably since then. Initially it provided small grants for items of equipment to individual schools in Scotland with large numbers of Service Children. With the increase in operational deployment, especially in Afghanistan and the continued effects of mobility, the Trust has increased it’s support via the Education Programme and is constantly developing new ways in which it can support the education of Service Children.
